Programma
The course is based on the textbook English File Digital Gold 3rd edition (OUP 2017); A person at C1 level should: be able to express himself/herself fluently and spontaneously, almost effortlessly; have a good command of a broad lexical repertoire, allowing gaps to be readily overcome with circumlocutions; select a suitable phrase from a fluent repertoire of discourse functions; preface remarks in order to get the floor or to gain time; be skilled at using contextual, grammatical and lexical cues to infer attitude, mood and intentions and anticipate what will come next.
Modalit� d'esame
The written exam consists of two parts: The first part is a paper of 150-180 words: the student is required to write a formal letter, following the instructions provided, which could be a request, a question, a complaint, a discussion or otherwise. In the second part (composition of 200- 5 questions that are presented in the test. Among these there will also be questions that they concern books (essays or novels) that students must have read in advance. The titles are communicated at the beginning of each academic year. The student must demonstrate that he can write clear and well-structured texts by developing your point of view analytically. Must be able to write an essay or report explaining complex topics, highlighting the points he considers salient, and choosing style and register suitable for the type of composition (argumentative, review, proposal, descriptive, etc.).
