Programma

TEXT TYPES: narrative texts, informative texts, argumentative essays, letters to the editor of a newspaper and letters of complaint. TOPICS: 1. The value of friendship in our life: thoughts about friendship, values on which friendship is based and types of friendship. 2. The value of love and types of love: selflove, love towards the people who are a part of our life a towards the things we do and romantic love through art. 3. Travelling to live and learn: travelling experiences, reasons to travel, characteristics of travellers and tourists, new ways of doing tourism and tourist campaigns. 4. Education in the 21st century: Spanish school system, negative aspects of the Italian school and suggestions about how it should be, the New Education, distance learning and face to face learning, Erasmus experiences, types of intelligence and the influence of emotions in learning. 5. Today’s youth: description, worries, fears and desires. Causes and consequences of late youth emancipation. 6. The working world: description of the situation at present, what we look for in a job, importance of “soft skills” and future careers. 7. Technology and social networks: consequences of a bad use of mobile phones on kids and teenagers, initiatives supporting a responsible use of technology, importance of a digital education, risks of social networks and influence of social networks on human relationships. 8. Life styles and their environmental impact: life in villages and towns, environmental impact of our western way of life, important environmental problems (air pollution, climate change, plastic pollution,…), renewable energy sources, circular economy and eco-friendly ways or reducing our environmental impact.

Modalit� d'esame

WRITTEN EXAM Writing a text choosing between two of the following text types: narrative text, informative text, argumentative essay, letter to the editor of a newspaper or letter of complaint. Number of words: 300 - 350. Time: 2.30 minutes. The use of the dictionary is not allowed. ORAL EXAM Time: 10 min. + 10 min. (preparing time) Format: 1. Oral presentation of a news article (approximately 400 words). 2. The examiner will ask questions relating to the topic chosen to create a discussion.
