Programma

• the fluency, spontaneity of communication and discursive skills developed through multiple occasions of analysis and production of different oral and written textual types and genres also observed in terms of coherence and cohesion • the effectiveness of the argument through a varied proposal of activities that involve the identification and expression of pros and cons on various current topics; • a high degree of linguistic awareness through moments of reflection and grammatical practice to enable students to check and correct their errors; • a good sociolinguistic awareness to learn to recognize and use different regional registers, styles and accents; • the understanding and awareness of the peculiarities of texts written in Italian as a special language for social, academic and professional purposes • the qualitative and quantitative enrichment of the vocabulary, with constant attention to metaphorical expressions, complex words, collocations, rules of formation of word and searching for synonyms in the input texts.

Modalit� d'esame

1st test: computerized test consisting of: • listening test (authentic songs lasting 5 or 6 minutes; 10 T/F questions worth 2 points each) (20 points) • comprehension of the written text (excerpts of 20-30 lines ; 5 multiple choice questions with 4 exits worth 4 points each) (20 points) • completion with choice - 5 options: 10 sentences already placed in a block that covers the grammatical topics of the level, multiple choice with 5 exits; 2 points for each completion (20 points) • cloze test (each text has 10 holes each of which is worth 2 points; the words to complete plus 5 distractors are given above) (20 points) 2nd test: written composition with the following characteristics: • textual typology: formal epistolary text, expository text, argumentative text • outline to be completed on the computer • length of the text: between 30 and 40 lines • time available 90 minutes • 3rd test: oral interview with the following characteristics : • Candidates must be able to participate actively and effectively in a conversation with their interlocutor. The oral test is composed as follows: 1) introductory part in which the candidate answers questions about himself; 2) conversation with the teacher, starting from the description and comment on materials provided by the teacher (for example: description of two photos highlighting their differences and affinities; description of what is contained in a short current text; comment by a table or graph) and through guiding questions. 3) role play with another candidate in a situation proposed by the teacher. The material on which the test will take place is delivered to the candidate approximately 15 minutes before the start of the test • duration: 20 minutes
