Relative Clauses 5. Comparative and Superlative adjective forms and possible quantifiers 6. Countable and uncountable nouns 7. Articles (def. & indef., etc) 8. Prepositions and conjunctions, linking devices and discourse management 9. Direct and Indirect questions and tags 10. Basic and more complex sentence structures 11. Reported speech (including both direct and indirect questions and tags) Exam format Written exam; A test with 10 gaps (Open cloze = no words given), 5 key word sentence transformations, 1 argumentative essay of 180 to 220 words. Time allowed: 60 minutes Speaking exam: Time allowed: 12 to 15 minutes (in pairs or group of 3) comment a picture (in collaboration): guided discussion: answer a question (5 or 6 suggestions given) final discussion: express/defend/explain their point of view/opinion
