Modalit d'esame

COMPUTER TEST (55 minutes): 1) 1 Cloze Test: this consists of a short text (about 200 words) with 10 gaps, where a word or words have been taken out. You have to complete these gaps, choosing from the list of 20 words at the top. This means that you only need 10 of the words and the other 10 are “distracters” which you have to be careful not to choose. The missing words are usually a mixture of grammatical and lexical items. 2) 1 C-Test: this consists of a short text (about 150-200 words) with 10 gaps, where part of a word has been taken out. You have to complete these gaps, choosing from the list of 15 affixes (prefixes or suffixes) at the top. This means that some of the affixes are distracters and some of them can also be used in more than one gap. 3) 1 Reading Comprehension: this consists of a text of about 400 words, which you have to read and then answer the 10 questions which follow to show you have understood it. The first 5 questions are comprehension questions; each question has 4 options and you have to choose the correct one. The last 5 questions test vocabulary in context; there is a word or phrase from the text with 4 possible definitions. You have to choose the correct definition as used in the text. 4) 3 Listening Comprehensions: these consist of 2 short audio texts (about 40 seconds) and 1 longer text (about 1½-2 minutes). Each of the short audios are followed by 1 comprehension question with 4 options; you have to choose the correct answer, listening again if necessary. The longer audio is followed by 6 comprehension questions, where you have to decide whether the sentence is true or false. You can listen to the text more than once.
